We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. All our appointments are released at 8.30am for Patients who need to be seen on that day. You can call at any time, during normal surgery hours, for routine appointments. We have several lines into the Practice but only 3 telephones. It may seem at times that you can’t get through but you are held in a queue and your call is answered in rotation.
Please remember that you can pre-book an appointment for at least a month in advance.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Monday: 8.30am-6.30pm
Tuesday: 8.30am-6.30pm
Wednesday: 8.30am-6.30pm
Thursday: 8.30am-4.30pm
Friday: 8.30am-6.00pm
Pre-bookable Appointments:
You are allowed to book appointments up to a month in advance. If a Doctor asks you to come back it is always best to book the appointment before you leave the surgery.
To cancel/change an appointment:
- Reply to the text reminder we send you before your appointment.
- Phone the practice on 0121 486 4200
- Use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app)
- Email the practice at hawkesleymedical.practice@nhs.net
When we cannot offer an appointment we may ask for your name and telephone number so that we can add you to our list to be called when another patient cancels. If patient’s cancel appointments instead of not turning we could offer more appointments throughout the week.
